Posted on Wednesday May 16, 2018

Cobourg, ON – May 16, 2018 – On May 24, Northumberland County, together with the Port Hope Centre of Excellence in Recycling, will be hosting two Public Information Centres at the Canton Municipal Office for Port Hope Rural Ward residents.

“We are inviting residents of Ward 2 in the Municipality of Port Hope to these Public Information Centres (PICs) to gauge interest in roadside waste and recycling collection services,” indicates County Director of Transportation, Waste & Facilities Mo Pannu. “We know that waste and recycling are priorities for residents, and we are interested in understanding whether weekly collection might further support  green-focused efforts within the community. These PICs will be opportunities to hear any concerns or recommendations rural residents may have regarding collection services.”
