Cobourg, ON – June 13, 2017 – Food and craft vendors and entertainers will regale crowds at Port Hope Memorial Park on Saturday, June 24th, in a celebration of local multiculturalism. The tastes, sights and sounds of abroad will be featured as part of Northumberland County’s 2017 Multicultural Day.

“We are very pleased to showcase the vitality of Northumberland’s thriving immigrant community through this annual event,” stated Warden Mark Walas. “Food, art and music are universal languages for sharing history and perspective. Northumberland County is focused on building a vibrant community, and these efforts are certainly enriched through the social, cultural and economic contributions of our newcomer population. I encourage people to attend this event and experience customs from around the world, right here in Northumberland.”
