The Northumberland Hills Hospital is a brand new health facility located in Cobourg. The hospital offers state-of-the-art technology and over 150 beds. Campbellford Memorial Hospital serves northern Northumberland and has 34 beds.
The region has many family doctors, dentists, optometrists, and other medical service people capable of taking on new patients.

Northumberland County's strength is derived from a strong belief in family and education. The Municipalities of Northumberland are safe communities protected by a combination of regional and provincial police services.
Elementary and Secondary schools within the county have a reputation for molding successful students, many of whom go on to post-secondary education in neighboring urban centers and Sir Sandford Fleming College Campus in Cobourg.
