Online Reservation System Pilot Project
Online Booking and Reservation System
Northumberland Tourism has engaged with Meridian Reservations Systems to provide Northumberland tourism businesses and partners with an on-line booking and reservation system for use by visitors who are making travel plans to visit Northumberland County. This two-year pilot project will enable tourism operators to immediately convert website visitors to sales.
The system will be beneficial for any tourism business, large or small, year-round or seasonal, that wishes to have an online presence in order to capitalize on e-marketing and e-commerce, including: Accommodations - Attractions - Destination Marketing Organizations - Spas - Golf Courses - Dining - Shopping - Transportation - Arts and Heritage - Festivals and Events - Sports Organizations - Tour Companies
Once fully operational the reservation system will enable seamless cross-sector partnering and packaging of accommodations with other tourism products and services.

Registration for tourism businesses
Interested tourism businesses are invited to register for participation with the online reservation system pilot project by completing and returning a Property Information Form (listed below) and a Sub-license Agreement by Friday October, 1st, 2010 via regular mail, fax or email to:

- **Prior to training and system launch, participating businesses will also be required to complete and return a Participant Agreement with Northumberland Tourism, as well as provide payment of annual participant fee plus applicable HST. An invoice/receipt will be provided by Northumberland Tourism.
