Cuts & scrapes
1. If a cut or scrape is dirty, clean with soap and water.
2. If the wound is bleeding apply direct pressure after ensuring there are no protruding objects such as glass.
3. If bleeding does not stop with direct pressure after approximately 15 minutes, seek medical attention.
4. If bleeding is profuse and injuries permit, raise the wound above the level of the heart.
5. Once the wound is clean and dry, apply a first aid cream as recommended by your pharmacist.
6. Cover with a bandaid or sterile dressing as needed.
NOTE: If bleeding is profuse and uncontrolled or there are other injuries, seek medical attention early.
