Dirt bikes currenlty do not have designated trails in the Northumberland County Forest. However the local dirt biking club is the Northumberland Trail Riders, who also represent this user group on the Forest Advisory Committee. Please remember that this is a multi-use forest and you may run into other users on any of the trails. The emphasis on how future trails will be designed and built will depend on recommendations from the FAC and decisions made by County Council.
There are portions of the forest that are ecologically sensitive and barriers have been erected to protect them, please respect these by staying out of these areas. Furthermore to protect the soils from further erosion it is best to stick to existing trails, there are plenty and they offer various levels of challenges, again remembering to be cautious of other users.
