Hunting
Northumberland County is designated as Wildlife Management Unit (WMU) 71 and 72-A.
You can only hunt during the deer season in the County Forest, to the east of County Road 45.
Turkey Hunting is NOT permitted in the County Forest.
The 2010 Deer season, as set by the Ministry of Natural Resources (Click here to visit the website) is:
- Archery: October 1 to November 1, November 16 to November 29, December 7 to December 31
- Shotgun: November 2 to November 15
- Muzzle loading: November 30 to December 6
The MNR is responsible for the enforcement of hunting regulations.
