Horseback Riding Trails
Horse back riding is ideal on the Forest's sandy soils which are easy on your horse's legs!! There is approximately 24 kilometers of horse back riding trails in the Forest, linking you to Alnwick/Haldimand roads for more touring.
You can park at the Beagle Club Road parking lot for some loops or head off from Woodland Road on the east of County Road 45 for a 9 KM loop trail (the purple trail) connecting to Dunbar Road and adding some mileage to the outing.
Remember the Forest does NOT have water sources which are safe for your horse so be sure to bring lots of your own water.
