Cross Country Ski Trails
Whether you cross-country ski for competition or just for fun, the Northumberland Forest has a trail for you. The Beagle Club Forest tract has a wide of trails, from easy to technical, offering a great classic style ski experience. There are four short trails, from 1.6 km to 4 km, which are ideal for novice skiers or as "season openers" for more experienced skiers. The three longer trails, from 5.2 km to 15 km (covering a variety of terrain) are sure to satisfy even the most accomplished skier.
New this year, the ski trails are now regulated under By-law 21-10 for cross country skiing only from December to March. Other non moptorized users are asked to head to Woodland Road at County Road 45 to use the Purple Trail, which has 3 KM, 6 KM and 9 KM loops, suitable for equestrian, snowshoeing, dog walking,
hiking and cycling.
