Thank you for your interest in volunteer opportunities at Food 4 All Northumberland!

Food 4 All volunteers are a valuable resource and an integral part of the work we do. Our volunteers help things run smoothly, and during the week, can be found working in the warehouse or helping out in the office. There are several volunteer opportunities available. Most of them involve sorting food and getting it ready to go to the people who need it.  A few hours of your time can make a tremendous difference in our community!

Who can apply?

  • All individuals who are qualified and meet requirements established for the position are welcomed within our operation.
  • Northumberland County Food 4 All accepts volunteers of any age but anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult (parent/teacher/guardian).
  • In accordance with Ontario Human Rights Legislation, Northumberland County Food 4 All does not discriminate against applicants on the basis of race, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, socio-economic background or ethnicity.

What should I wear?

  • Casual and comfortable clothes (jeans, teeshirts, sweatshirts etc.) are recommended for warehouse work.
  • Refrain from wearing any clothing with obscene or controversial messages, visible under garments, tank tops, low cut collars, short cut shorts or dangling jewellery. 
  • Shoes must be close-toed, so sneakers, work shoes or boots are ideal. No heels, open-toed shoes or sandals are permitted in the warehouse. Socks must be worn.  
  • Please leave purses, jewellery and other valuables at home as we will not be responsible for any missing personal belongings.
