Northumberland County Community & Social Services (NCCSS) has teamed up with Northumberland Community Futures Development Corporation (NCFDC) to help participants build successful small businesses here in Northumberland.
By providing entrepreneurial training, ongoing consulting, management direction and support during the initial stages of development, NCFDC will help eligible participants get their small businesses off the ground and reach financial independence.
Once registered into this 60-week program, participants focus all their efforts on building successful small businesses, while continuing to receive Ontario Works financial assistance. Participants may also qualify for business-related expense deductions, and are required to keep accurate business records, report business income monthly, and verify all business expenses, assets and tools of the trade.
