Community Outreach
Community Outreach is a community-based program created to prevent and reduce the depth of child poverty in Northumberland County.
Working in collaboration with Northumberland County agencies and service providers, the Community Outreach Worker assists children and families to access services they need in their own community. Program provision includes financial supports, information and direct linkages and referrals to community agencies for:
- Food and clothing
- Transportation
- Relief and counselling services
- Parenting and family support services
- Recreation needs
The Community Outreach Worker can meet with families in their own home or at prearranged locations throughout Northumberland County.
