Advisory Committee
The Northumberland Homelessness Advisory Committee was established in 2003 to develop an effective approach to homelessness. The mandate of the committee includes:
- To act as a planning, co-ordinating and implementation body for homelessness services in Northumberland County.
- To develop a homelessness plan for Northumberland County which identifies the needs of those concerned, and which proposes solutions to those needs, utilizing available resources in the most effective manner.
- To foster the co-ordination and collaboration of service providers to achieve the best possible service outcome for the community.
- To facilitate consensus with other service sectors in the County to achieve integration and ease of access to services in the community.
Members include representatives from The Salvation Army, The Help Centre, Transition House, Campbellford Community Mental Health Centre, Campbellford Memorial Multicare Lodge, Trinity Place Housing, Neighbourlink and Northumberland County Community and Social Services.
