Wage Enhancement Application

As the Consolidated Municipal Service Manager, Children & Youth Services is responsible for implementing the Wage Enhancement program in Northumberland County. We are dedicated to supporting operators through the application process. Operators must apply annually to receive this funding.

The Application Process for 2017 Wage Enhancement is now CLOSED.

Background Information

The Wage Enhancement program benefits low-income child care program staff in the licenced child care sector, helps retain Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs), and supports access to stable, high-quality child care programs for children in Ontario. The enhancement also helps close the wage gap between registered early childhood educators (RECEs) working in full-day kindergarten (FDK) programs and RECEs/child care professionals in licensed child care settings.
