Gil Brocanier was elected as a town Councillor in 1985. He served 2 terms on council, and topped the polls in 1988 in his second term. He did not run in the 1991 municipal election. However, after 26 years of progressively responsible roles in management with General Foods/Kraft he was able to retire and ran for Council again in 2003. Building his 26 years of management and financial experience he ran for Deputy Mayor in 2006 and for the past 3 1/2 years he have continued to serve the people of Cobourg in that capacity. Gil is married to Marg, who was born and raised in Cobourg, they have one son, Greg.

Dalton McDonald has lived in the township of Alnwick/Haldimand since 1956. He and his wife Heather have lived on their farm on Centreton Road for 39 years. They also operate an auto repair business there. They have 4 grown children, all married, and one granddaughter Lauren. Dalton has been a member of Alnwick/Haldimand township council for 19 years. He has held the position of councillor, Deputy Reeve and Deputy Mayor. He looks forward to a very productive 4 years for the council of Alnwick/Haldimand.

Mark Anthony Walas worked for several years in the Toronto area before returning to Brighton. Mark purchased the local funeral home in 1987, and began his career of service to the Brighton area. During his 20 year career
as local funeral director, he has served numerous families, and made lasting friendships along the way. He has experience in planning and funding of capital projects for expansion, staffing and staff relations, and the many financial challenges facing small business owners today. Mark has also been a great supporter of local citizens through several community organizations. Most recently Mark has involved himself in, and is currently active in, a small family local real estate development business, and commercial building projects. Mark is married to Linda (Rutherford), and together they have four children and one grandchild.

Marc Coombs served two terms on Cramahe Township Council, 1998-2000 and 2004-2006, before being elected Mayor in November 2006 & again in October 2010. He has lived with his wife Eileen and their three daughters in the countryside north of Colborne since 1992. He has been active in many committees and boards, serving as Chair of the Apple Route from 1999 until 2008 as well as Chair of the Northumberland Tourism Advisory Committee in 2001 and 2002 among others.

Mark Lovshin was elected to council in 2000, as deputy mayor in 2003, elected as mayor 2006, and has sat on many committees. Mark is married to wife Christine, and has a son, Andrew. He was born, raised and has lived in Hamilton Township all his life. Mark has a strong agricultural background and operates a vegetable stand, raises market lambs, and operates a dairy farm with his brother and father.

Linda was first elected to Port Hope Municipal Council in 2000. Serving as Councillor, Deputy Mayor and Elected as Mayor in 2006. She is a pragmatic business person with over 20 years of successful business experience applied in Plant, Corporate Materials, Operations and Consulting Management. Linda is actively involved in the community. She volunteers for many community groups and events; serving on School Council, and supporting the disabled. She has also served as a Director of the Ontario Maple Syrup Association, a Church Elder and a Matron in the Eastern Star. Linda has lived in the Municipality of Port Hope since 1987 with husband, Barry Thompson. Linda and Barry have two children, Elizabeth, who attends Port Hope High School, and William, who attends North Hope Central Public School.

Newly elected Mayor of Trent Hills in 2003, Councillor Macmillan was born and raised in Campbellford, Ontario, and now resides there with his wife and family which includes their four children and one grandson. Son of one time Mayor of the Town of Campbellford, Mayor Macmillan has an extensive background in business - owning and operating various enterprises since 1973 including hardware, retail and wholesale groceries, several retail gasoline and diesel sites. Mr. Macmillan holds several trade certificates. Councillor Macmillan brings a new and fresh perspective to County Council and looks forward to actively participating in all Council decision making.
